Funded Stock Trading Accounts: What Actually Exists

First, the honest part

'Funded stock trading' mostly doesn't mean what it sounds like. No firm in our 31-firm database hands you a funded cash equities account. What exists is two adjacent products:

  • Stock CFDs at four CFD firms — FTMO, FXIFY, Goat Funded Trader and Crypto Fund Trader all list Stocks among their tradable assets (Apple, Tesla, Nvidia-style single names, contract-for-difference form).
  • Equity-index futures at every futures firm — ES/NQ/RTY and their micros at Topstep, Apex, Tradeify and the rest. If your 'stock trading' is really index exposure, this is the deeper, cheaper market.

Choosing among the stock-CFD firms

  • FTMO (★4.8) — the strongest all-round rules (10% static drawdown, no consistency) and the longest record; stocks trade alongside FX/indices/metals on the same account.
  • FXIFY — most program variety (1/2/3-phase plus instants) with stocks in the asset list; pick the static-drawdown variants for single-name volatility.
  • Goat Funded Trader — stocks plus the biggest discount in the group right now (50% off first challenge).
  • Crypto Fund Trader — surprisingly broad equity CFD list on its 500+ instrument platform.

Mind the stock-specific fine print: single names gap overnight, and weekend/news-holding rules that feel irrelevant on EURUSD decide outcomes on earnings names. Check each firm's rules tab, then line them up in compare.

The index-futures route

For index traders, funded futures accounts offer tighter spreads, defined sessions and evaluations from $19.90. The futures guide covers how their trailing drawdowns behave — the main adjustment for anyone arriving from equities.
