10 Best Futures Prop Firms in 2026
By Oliver, Co-founder & Researcher· scored 1-10 from live data
Futures prop firms are the cheapest way into funded trading, and the fine print is where they differ. A $50K evaluation can cost under $50, but the drawdown may trail your open profit tick by tick and the payout may need five winning days first. This ranking scores every futures firm we track on trust, rules, cost, payouts and track record.
You will trade CME products through Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic or similar on every firm here. Prices below include the verified discount code shown next to them.

- Rules (25%): Share of low-friction programs and the average PT:DD ratio, scaled against firms in the same market.
- Cost (15%): Cheapest 100K-equivalent challenge with the verified code applied, scaled against firms in the same market.
- Payouts (20%): Fastest available payout cadence and best profit split.
- Track record (10%): Years in operation.
- Every input is on the firm's profile and review page, and the score recomputes on each deploy. Firms cannot pay for placement.

Tradeify sells three ways in: Growth evaluations with a 35% funded consistency rule, Select accounts with flex or daily payouts, and Lightning instant funding. You'll trade on eight platforms from Tradovate to Quantower, with a 50% verified code. Tradeify is a US-based Futures firm with 2 years of operation. We track 12 purchasable challenges across 3 programs (Growth, Select, Lightning (Instant)), from $50 up to $150K in funding. Payouts run on demand or daily on its fastest plan, with a profit split of up to 90%.
Our review verdict: Fast, reliable small payouts and clear rules - but the consistency rule is the #1 gripe, and the risk cases cluster around large multi-account withdrawals. Read the full review
Why we picked it
- Payout options: choose flex or daily after passing, not at purchase.
- Lightning: instant funding with no minimum days and a consistency rule that loosens with each payout.
- Code depth: 50% off every account.
- Trader rating: 4.5 on Trustpilot; our own analysis of 177 reviews averages 4.7.
- Rules: 0% of its programs score low friction, and the average PT:DD ratio is 1:0.60 (fair room per dollar of target).

Blue Guardian Futures relaunched its entire lineup in July 2026 with Standard, Express, Reserve and Direct plans, EOD trailing drawdowns and a 25% code shared with the CFD side. You'll trade CME products with rules that differ by plan rather than by size. Blue Guardian Futures is a AE-based Futures firm with 2 years of operation. We track 15 purchasable challenges across 4 programs (Standard, Reserve, Express, Direct), from $83 up to $150K in funding. Payouts run on demand or daily on its fastest plan, with a profit split of up to 100%.
Our review verdict: Bargain pricing built loyal fans, but the payout and support failures in this file are serious - and the 2026 lineup relaunch means you'd be buying a new, unproven program anyway. Read the full review
Why we picked it
- Plan design: Reserve has no daily loss limit on any size; Express pays daily above $500.
- Code: the same 25% applies on futures and CFD.
- Rules: 0% of its programs score low friction, and the average PT:DD ratio is 1:0.67 (fair room per dollar of target).
- Cost: the cheapest 100K-equivalent ticket is about $186 with code PROPFT (25% off).
What to watch: The old lineup documented 15-week payout waits at worst; the relaunch is new, so let post-relaunch payout reports accumulate before scaling.

Topstep is the oldest name in futures funding, operating since 2012, and it sells reliability rather than price: a Trading Combine with a clear path to a live-funded account, 90% split, and payout processing measured in days. You'll trade CME equity index, energy, metals and rates products. Topstep is a US-based Futures firm with 14 years of operation. We track 6 purchasable challenges across 2 programs (Trading Combine (Standard), Trading Combine (No Activation)), from $49 up to $150K in funding. Payouts run on demand or daily on its fastest plan, with a profit split of up to 90%.
Our review verdict: Still the establishment choice in futures - polished platform, honest payouts, few disputes - but 2026's platform exclusivity and rule shifts cost it real goodwill among veterans. Read the full review

How to choose a prop firm
The score above weights the five things that decide whether you get paid. Here is what each one means for you.
Reputation, measured
Read the one-star reviews, not the average. Our review pages itemise every payout dispute we could find, with amounts. A 4.5 built on support praise is not the same as a 4.5 built on payout reports.
Drawdown type before drawdown size
A 10% trailing drawdown can be harsher than a 5% static one. End-of-day trailing is workable; intraday trailing punishes you for open profit you give back. The PT:DD ratio on each profile shows the room you actually get.
The path from pass to payout
Minimum trading days, consistency rules, profit buffers and minimum payout amounts sit between passing and being paid. Every one of them is on the firm's profile; the 'what to watch' line above names the one most likely to bite.
Price with the code, not the sticker
List prices in this industry are an opening offer. Every price on this site includes the verified code shown next to it, and the daily pipeline re-checks it at the firm's checkout.
Platform and market fit
If you trade on MetaTrader, a Tradovate-only firm is the wrong firm however good the terms. Check the platform list and the instrument scope, especially for stocks and crypto.
Where you live
Restricted-country lists change without notice and are enforced at KYC, usually after you have paid. The country guides check each firm's list; confirm again at checkout.
Pros and cons of prop trading
Pros
- Capital you do not have to save first: a $100K account for the price of a dinner out at the cheapest firms.
- Defined risk: the most you can lose is the challenge fee, never the account.
- Forced discipline: drawdown rules and daily limits are the sizing framework most retail traders never build.
- Profit splits of 80% to 100% on money that is not yours.
Cons
- Most traders fail evaluations on sizing, not strategy, and fees add up across attempts.
- Funded accounts are usually simulated; you are paid from the firm's revenue, so the firm's solvency is your counterparty risk.
- Rules are enforced after you succeed: KYC, device and consistency checks land at payout time.
- Terms change often. A firm that fits you today can restructure its lineup next quarter.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between EOD and intraday trailing drawdown?
End-of-day trailing moves your loss limit up only with your closed daily balance, so open profit during the session does not shrink your room. Intraday trailing follows your peak equity in real time, open trades included, and is the single biggest cause of futures evaluation failures. It is also why the cheapest plans are usually intraday.
Why do futures firms use consistency rules?
To stop a single lucky day from funding a payout. A 40% rule means no day may contribute more than 40% of your total profit before you can withdraw. Several firms on this list drop the rule once you are funded or sell a plan without one.
Do prop firms really pay out?
The firms on this list do, and we track it two ways: aggregated trader reviews per firm, including every one-star payout complaint, and the firms' own published payout policies. What varies is the fine print between passing and being paid, which is why each entry above carries a 'what to watch' line.
How is the 1-10 score calculated?
Five components, each 0-10 and taken from data already on this site: trust (Trustpilot rating and volume blended with our review analysis, 30%), rules (share of low-friction programs and the average PT:DD ratio, 25%), cost (cheapest 100K-equivalent challenge with the verified code applied, 15%), payouts (fastest available payout cadence and best profit split, 20%) and track record (years in operation, 10%). Scores recompute on every deploy.
Are the prices shown the real checkout prices?
Yes. Every price on this site already includes the discount code listed next to it, and the daily pipeline re-checks prices against the firms' own sites. If a firm has no working code, we say so rather than inventing one.
How does PropFirmTrading make money?
Affiliate commission when you buy a challenge through our link or with our code. Firms cannot pay for placement, and the ranking is computed from the database, not negotiated.
