TradeDay Review 2026: Quick Pay vs Fast Pass, Costs and Payouts

How this review was researched

9 sources, checked 21 Oct 2026

This TradeDay review covers a Chicago futures prop firm that sells monthly evaluations, called Quick Pay and Fast Pass, for accounts from 25K to 150K. An evaluation is a simulated trading test that a trader has to pass before TradeDay shares any profit.

TradeDay was founded in 2020 and offers CME Group futures only. The TradeDay figures below were read from its own pages on 14 October 2026 and checked again on 21 October 2026.

Six points before buying

  • Fees run $40 to $212 a month with code PROPFT in PropFirmTrading's data, and billing stops on passing.
  • TradeDay calls the trailing drawdown its only fail rule, and no plan has a daily loss limit.
  • Quick Pay pays out after one funded trading day, at 50/50 until the account holds $4,000 of profit.
  • Fast Pass pays 80/20 after 5 profitable days, with a cap of $750 to $2,250 per payout cycle.
  • TradeDay discloses a 36% pass rate for January to June 2026.
  • TradeDay's own pages disagree on more than a dozen points, from reset prices to refund rules.

TradeDay in numbers

TradeDay sells two evaluation paths in four sizes, and each one is billed every 30 days until the trader passes or cancels.

How TradeDay's Quick Pay and Fast Pass evaluations work

Both paths share the same targets, drawdown sizes and contract limits, and they differ in drawdown timing, consistency and payout rules.

The profit target is the net profit, after simulated commissions, that passes the evaluation. It is $1,500, $3,000, $6,000 or $9,000 by size, with no time limit.

Funded Sim is the first funded stage, a simulated account whose payouts are worked out from simulated profit. Funded Live is a sub-account of TradeDay's master account at the broker, trading in the live market at a 90/10 split.

Position limits are 2, 5, 10 or 15 minis by size, where 10 micro contracts count as one mini and 50 micros is the ceiling. A trader can hold up to 10 accounts, with at most 5 active in Funded Sim.

What TradeDay costs each month

With code PROPFT, PropFirmTrading's data puts the monthly fee at $40 for a 25K Quick Pay Intraday and $212 for a 150K Fast Pass.

Fast Pass End of Day$52.00$75.60$140.00$212.00

PropFirmTrading data on 21 Oct 2026, list price times 0.40. TradeDay rounds its own card prices up to whole dollars. Darker cells cost more.

List prices run from $100 to $530 a month. TradeDay's own site promotes code TDNEW at 55% off Quick Pay and 50% off Fast Pass, which sets the 50K Quick Pay Intraday at $59.

PropFirmTrading lists PROPFT at 60% off every monthly evaluation fee, renewals included. PROPFT is not shown on TradeDay's public pages, and a rounded checkout may read $53 or $76 where the table shows $52.40 or $75.60.

  • ›Resets. A paid reset restarts a failed evaluation at once for $45 to $265, or the next renewal restarts it with no reset fee. No public page says whether PROPFT lowers the reset price.
  • ›Refunds. None after purchase, apart from a forgotten renewal claimed within 72 hours with no trading since, minus 20%.
  • ›Commissions. Simulated commissions count against the target, at $2.88 per side on an E-mini S&P 500 contract and $0.95 on the micro.

If each discount applies at every renewal, three months on a 50K Quick Pay Intraday evaluation cost $157.20 with PROPFT, against $177 with TDNEW. Prices for all 12 accounts are on the TradeDay discount code page.

What fails or closes a TradeDay account

TradeDay calls the trailing maximum drawdown the only rule that fails an evaluation, while banned practices and several other events can still end an account.

Events that end a TradeDay account

  • Maximum drawdown. Touching the trailing floor of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500 fails an evaluation and ends a funded account.
  • Prohibited practices. Hedging across accounts, spoofing, order splitting, repeated microscalping, over 200 trades a day or bought bots.
  • IP masking. VPS use is banned, and TradeDay shuts an account if the trader cannot pass an IP check with any VPN or Apple Private Relay switched off.
  • Price limits. A funded trade within 2% of a CME price limit loses the account.
  • Dormancy. A Tradovate account left without a login for more than a calendar month is archived and counted as failed.
  • Slippage buffer. A Funded Live balance below its buffer is liquidated, and the remainder is paid at 90/10.

A lost Funded Live account also starts a three-month wait before the trader can buy new evaluations.

How the trailing drawdown moves

A trailing maximum drawdown is a loss floor that rises with the account's highest balance. The intraday version counts open profit in real time, and the end-of-day version moves the floor only at the 4:00 PM CT close.

Even on end of day, TradeDay liquidates a position that takes equity below the current floor during the session. On every plan, the floor stops rising at the starting balance, so a 100K floor that starts at $97,000 freezes at $100,000 once the balance reaches $103,000.

In Quick Pay Funded Sim, the floor trails gross profit, so a payout never lowers it. On a 50K account, $500 of profit lifts the floor to $48,500, and a $500 payout then leaves $1,500 of room.

Consistency, hours and news

TradeDay's consistency rule compares the best single day with all the profit made so far. A day above 30% of total profit on Quick Pay, or 45% on Fast Pass, raises the target instead of failing the account.

A $1,200 best day on a 50K Quick Pay therefore lifts the $3,000 target to $4,000, the best day divided by 30%.

TradeDay permits day trading only, so no position stays open past a session's close, and it closes open positions at 3:50 PM CT. Positions also close 2 minutes before Tier 1 releases, the reports and Federal Reserve events on TradeDay's list, such as US CPI and Non-Farm Payrolls. Trading reopens 2 minutes after each one.

Accidental breaches of these windows or of position limits do not fail an account, while repeated ones do. Position limits, news windows and banned practices are set out on the TradeDay rules page.

How TradeDay pays funded traders

Quick Pay accounts can ask for a payout after one funded trading day, while Fast Pass accounts first need five profitable days.

TradeDay pricing cards and payout policy articles, checked 21 Oct 2026.

  • ›Quick Pay. Profit above the starting balance can be withdrawn daily from $250, with no buffer. A payout that crosses $4,000 is split in parts, so $3,000 taken from $6,000 of profit pays $1,600 plus $500.
  • ›Fast Pass. Each cycle needs 5 profitable days of $100 to $250 by size, then pays up to $750, $1,500, $1,875 or $2,250.
  • ›Processing. Requests made before 5:30 PM CT are handled within 24 hours on business days, although one article gives the cut-off in Eastern Time.
  • ›Riseworks. Payouts go through Riseworks, a payments platform. US wires are free, international wires cost $15, and crypto has its own fees.

The first payout request goes through a trade review for prohibited practices. On the first Fast Pass request, the drawdown floor also moves up to the starting balance and stays there.

A Quick Pay Funded Sim account pauses at $10,000 of gross profit for an overnight review, and profit above that level is removed. Most traders then move to Funded Live, where professional market data costs $156 a month per exchange.

Payout evidence on TradeDay's site

No TradeDay account was bought, traded or taken to checkout for this review, so PropFirmTrading holds no payout record of its own.

Is TradeDay legit?

TradeDay has operated since 2020 under published terms, discloses a pass rate and pays through a third-party processor, and it is not regulated as a financial firm.

  • ›Entity. TradeDay LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, according to its terms. PropFirmTrading did not query the Illinois business registry.
  • ›Founders. James Thorpe, the CEO, and Steve Miley, the COO.
  • ›Regulation. TradeDay calls itself a trader evaluation service, not a broker, futures commission merchant (FCM) or commodity trading adviser (CTA).
  • ›Disputes. Illinois law, binding arbitration in Chicago and a class-action waiver.
  • ›Countries. 83 entries on the restricted list. German citizens and Canadians outside Ontario can stay in Funded Sim but cannot move to Funded Live.

Funding is not guaranteed after a pass. TradeDay first reviews the trades and runs identity checks, known as KYC. It may also offboard a German or Canadian Funded Sim account that its Head of Trading judges a higher risk.

Trustpilot score and rewarded reviews

TradeDay held a Trustpilot score of 4.6 from 1,446 reviews in PropFirmTrading's hand check of 14 October 2026. Trustpilot is a public site where customers rate companies from one to five stars.

TradeDay's Learn and Earn scheme gives 20 points for a Trustpilot review and 20 for a Google review. Each point is worth $1 toward resets, though not toward the monthly fee, so some of the reviews may have been written for account credit.

PropFirmTrading has not yet analysed TradeDay's individual trader reviews, so this page carries no trader rating of its own.

Which trading styles fit TradeDay

TradeDay fits intraday futures traders who want no daily loss limit and early payouts, and who accept a monthly fee and a low opening split.

TradeDay pros, cons and unknowns

Strengths

  • No daily loss limit and no activation fee on any plan.
  • Quick Pay withdrawals open after one funded day, without a buffer.
  • Billing ends on passing, and a renewal restarts a failed account with no reset fee.
  • Tradovate and Rithmic accounts at the same price.

Drawbacks

  • The trader keeps only 50% of Quick Pay profit until the account holds $4,000.
  • The fee repeats every 30 days until the evaluation is passed.
  • Fast Pass caps each payout cycle at $750 to $2,250.
  • Day trading only, with positions closed at 3:50 PM CT.

Open questions

  • Whether PROPFT lowers reset prices as well as the monthly fee.
  • How much TradeDay has paid out in total, since neither the $10M+ nor the $15M figure comes with a ledger.

Traders can weigh the months a pass may take against the fee, and the Quick Pay split against the Fast Pass cap.

Commission disclosure for TradeDay

PropFirmTrading is paid a commission on TradeDay evaluations bought through its link or with code PROPFT.

PROPFT lowers the monthly fee and leaves TradeDay's rules and payout terms unchanged. Current fees for every plan and size are on the TradeDay discount page.

TradeDay FAQ

Is TradeDay legit?

TradeDay is an operating futures prop firm, founded in 2020 and run by TradeDay LLC, an Illinois company according to its terms. It publishes its rules in 85 help articles, pays funded traders through Riseworks and discloses a 36% pass rate for January to June 2026.

It is not regulated, and it describes itself as a trader evaluation service rather than a broker. Several of its own pages disagree on resets, minimum days and refunds. A plain summary of each rule sits on the TradeDay rules page.

How does TradeDay's monthly billing work?

Each TradeDay evaluation is a subscription. The first payment is taken at sign-up and the next one every 30 days, and billing stops once the pass is confirmed at the 5:30 PM CT end-of-day run. An active evaluation carries on across a renewal and cannot be paused.

A failed account restarts at the next renewal with no reset fee if it is not mid-evaluation, or a reset can be bought at once. Refunds cover only a forgotten renewal claimed within 72 hours with no trading since, and TradeDay keeps 20%.

What is the difference between TradeDay Quick Pay and Fast Pass?

Quick Pay offers an intraday or end-of-day evaluation drawdown, a 30% consistency rule and a 5-day minimum. Once funded it uses an intraday drawdown, pays after one trading day and splits profit 50/50 until the account holds $4,000, then 80/20.

Fast Pass uses an end-of-day drawdown at both stages, a 45% consistency rule and a 3-day minimum. Its funded payouts need 5 profitable days per cycle, pay 80/20 and are capped at $750 to $2,250 by size. Fast Pass costs more each month at every size.

How do TradeDay payouts work?

Funded Sim traders request payouts from the dashboard, with a $250 minimum. TradeDay processes requests made before 5:30 PM CT within 24 hours on business days, and the first request goes through a review for banned trading practices.

Payments run through Riseworks by bank wire or crypto. A US wire costs nothing, and an international wire costs $15. Funded Live traders ask for payouts by email to TradeDay's funded desk, keep 90% of profit and pay for professional market data themselves.

What is the TradeDay profit split?

On Quick Pay, the trader keeps 50% of profit while the funded account holds less than $4,000 of profit, and 80% of the part above that line. A payout that crosses the line is split in two parts at those rates.

Fast Pass pays 80% in Funded Sim, and both paths pay 90% in Funded Live, the stage that trades in the live market. TradeDay's articles disagree on whether the $4,000 line uses current profit or gross profit, which adds past withdrawals.

Does TradeDay have a daily loss limit?

No. TradeDay sets no daily loss limit on any plan, and it names the trailing maximum drawdown as the only rule that fails an evaluation. That drawdown is $1,000, $2,000, $3,000 or $4,500, depending on the account size.

Traders can add an optional daily or weekly loss limit of their own in the Tradovate risk settings, and staff cannot override it for that session. Other events, such as banned practices or trading near a CME price limit, can still end a funded account.

What is the TradeDay consistency rule?

The consistency rule caps the best single day at 30% of total profit on Quick Pay and 45% on Fast Pass. It is measured against all profit made so far, not against the profit target.

Breaking it does not fail the evaluation. The target rises to the best day divided by 30% or 45%, so a 50K Quick Pay trader with a $1,200 day trades on to $4,000. Fast Pass accounts opened from 26 July 2026 keep a 45% rule in Funded Sim.

Is there a TradeDay discount code?

PropFirmTrading's partner code for TradeDay is PROPFT, listed at 60% off every monthly evaluation fee, renewals included. In PropFirmTrading's data this puts the 25K Quick Pay Intraday at $40 a month and the 50K at $52.40.

TradeDay's own site promotes TDNEW, at 55% off Quick Pay and 50% off Fast Pass, and PROPFT does not appear on its public pages. PropFirmTrading earns a commission on purchases with the code. The TradeDay discount code page lists every plan with the code applied.

Which countries are restricted at TradeDay?

TradeDay's prohibited countries article, last modified 1 October 2026, has 83 entries. They include Russia, Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey, Vietnam and South Africa, along with EU members such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Malta. New users from Ukraine are not accepted.

German citizens and Canadians outside Ontario can pass and trade in Funded Sim without a time limit, but cannot move to Funded Live. The restrictions come from TradeDay's clearing firm and broker, and TradeDay makes no exceptions.

Which platforms can TradeDay traders use?

Each TradeDay account opens on Tradovate or on Rithmic at the same price, and all of a trader's accounts must use the same one. Tradovate accounts work with Tradovate, NinjaTrader 8 on a free licence, TradingView and Jigsaw.

Rithmic accounts work with R Trader Pro, Quantower, ATAS, Bookmap, Sierra Chart, MotiveWave and seven other platforms, but not with NinjaTrader Desktop. Level 1 data for CME exchanges is free in the evaluation and Funded Sim, and a Level 2 bundle costs $49 a month on Tradovate.

What is TradeDay's pass rate?

TradeDay's home page footer states a pass rate of 36% for January to June 2026. The figure is TradeDay's own, and the footer gives no method for counting resets or open evaluations.

An older risk disclaimer in the help centre gives 23.7% for August 2023, under the programs that came before TradeDay 2.0. The two figures cover different periods and rule sets, so they cannot be compared directly. PropFirmTrading could not check either figure independently.

Can a failed TradeDay evaluation be reset?

Yes. A trader who breaches the drawdown can buy a reset, which restarts the evaluation at once and leaves the billing date unchanged. On the pricing cards, resets cost $45 to $265, the same as TradeDay's discounted card price for each plan and size.

The alternative is to wait for the next renewal, which restarts a failed account with no reset fee if it is not mid-evaluation when the payment lands. Resets are unlimited while the subscription is active, and funded accounts cannot be reset for a fee.
