Vest Markets Review 2026: Vest Capital Rules, Payouts and Risks

How this review was researched

10 sources, checked 20 Oct 2026

This Vest Markets review covers Vest Capital, the prop program of the Vest Markets trading platform. Vest Markets offers perpetual futures, or perps, which are contracts that track an asset's price and never expire. Traders sign the prop contracts with Vest Exchange Inc., a company registered in Panama.

In short

  • Accounts cost $10 to $1,000 at list price, for sizes from $500 to $25,000.
  • The Prop Terms dated 14 October 2026 state that every account is simulated, Instant included.
  • Profit claims are paid in USDC, a stablecoin that tracks the US dollar, at a split of 80% to 95%.
  • PropFirmTrading traced 61,723.10 USDC in withdrawals from Vest's Base bridge that a Vest affiliate presented as payouts.
  • Vest's own documents contradict each other on 8 topics.
  • Public trader evidence is thin, with a Trustpilot TrustScore of 3.3 from 4 reviews.

  • ›Markets. Perps on US-listed stocks and ETFs, stock indices, BTC, ETH and SOL, metals, energy and FX.
  • ›Prohibited. Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Syria, the Philippines and sanctioned persons.

Vest may change rules and prices at any time, so traders should confirm them before buying.

How the Vest Capital prop program works

Vest Capital offers two paths to a live funded account, and both cost a one-time fee with no trading money deposited.

Vest's perps are margined in USDC, and buyers and sellers exchange an hourly funding payment that keeps each contract close to the asset's price.

  • ›Evaluation. A profit goal of 10% or 20% on the 1-Step, or 10% then 5% on the 2-Step, without breaking a loss rule. Simulated trading fees still count against the limits.
  • ›Live funded account. Same size and loss rules, no profit goal.
  • ›Instant. Live once payment clears, with no goal and no daily limit. A $5,000 Instant account costs $200 and closes after a $200 loss.

What simulated means at Vest

The Prop Terms call each trade a Trade Idea, which Vest may use, hedge with its own money, ignore or act against.

A simulated account is a record kept by Vest, with no real money in the trader's name and no balance to withdraw. The trader can receive Program compensation, worked out from the simulated profit.

Vest Markets prices in October 2026

Rules that end a Vest Capital account

Vest uses two loss rules, and breaking either one closes the account at once and for good.

Two rules close an account

  • Static maximum drawdown. 6% with an evaluation, and equal to the price on Instant.
  • Daily loss limit. 3% or 4% of the 8 PM New York reset balance, on builds that have one.

There is no warning, grace period or reset, in the evaluation or on the live account.

Static maximum drawdown

The maximum drawdown is a fixed dollar floor that never trails the balance. Equity, including open profit and loss, is checked against it at all times.

Floor on $5,000

Floor on $10,000
$9,400
Floor on $25,000

equal to the price

Daily loss limit

A daily loss limit caps the loss in one trading day. At Vest it resets at 8 PM New York time from the balance plus collateral for open positions, without open profit or loss. A withdrawal lowers the daily floor by the same amount.

Crypto trades around the clock. Index and commodity perps lock from Friday 5 PM to Sunday 6 PM New York time. Single stocks lock from Friday 8 PM to Sunday 8 PM, and FX over the weekend. Positions held into a lock cannot be closed, so a gap at the reopen can breach a floor.

News trading and scalping are allowed. Vest bans opposite trades across two accounts, coordinated or manipulative trading, exploiting technical errors or latency, and trading against its own hedges. API trading is not available on funded accounts, and the full list is on the Vest Markets rules page.

Vest Markets payout terms and payout proof

Vest credits each profit claim as USDC in 24 hours, and on-chain records confirm withdrawals from Vest's bridge but not their source.

Payout terms

  • ›Claim. The trader submits Claim Profit at any time, with no cap and no reversal, which may require closing open positions. Vest credits the share as USDC in 24 hours to the Primary Account, the trader's ordinary Vest exchange account.
  • ›Withdraw. Email and Google accounts send USDC to a crypto wallet on Base or Arbitrum One, two networks built on Ethereum, with a 1 USDC minimum.

On 20 October 2026, Vest's withdrawals page applied a 24-hour processing period to all withdrawals. Its limits section and the FAQ in Vest's web app still apply that period only above a rolling $50,000.

Payout conditions in the Prop Terms

  • Payouts are not guaranteed, and Vest may hold one during an eligibility, error or conduct review.
  • Compensation comes from Vest's general corporate funds, which can include account fees.
  • Vest does not claim that payouts are funded by profitable live trading.

Payout proof

In a Fortune report of 7 October 2026, Vest said about 26% of its roughly 27,000 traders had received a cash payout by late September. The figures were not independently checked, and the pricing page says "Join 3,500+ traders", which may count a different group.

A review on damnpropfirms.com, a disclosed Vest affiliate, presented four transaction hashes, the IDs of blockchain transfers, as its author's payouts. PropFirmTrading checked each on BaseScan, the public Base explorer, and a public Base node on 20 October 2026.

4 Oct 2026, 09:1720,240.030xfeb5...048d

What the on-chain check shows

  • Confirmed. All four transfers succeeded and total 61,723.10 USDC.
  • Confirmed. Each is a withdraw call on 0x5513...07aF, the contract Vest's web app lists as its Base bridge, logged for one Vest account and paid to two wallets.
  • Not shown. Who owns the wallets, or whether the money came from profit claims rather than other Primary Account funds.

PropFirmTrading did not trade a Vest account for this review.

Is Vest Markets legit?

Vest Markets is an operating business with a public record, and its own Prop Terms say every funded account is simulated.

Vest publishes Prop Terms, a price list and incident reports, says OtterSec audited its smart contracts, and has raised outside funding. USDC withdrawals from its Base bridge are visible on chain, while several Vest pages contradict each other.

What the Prop Terms say

  • ›No guarantee. A trader may receive no compensation and lose the whole fee.
  • ›Hedging and fills. Vest may hedge with its own money on Vest Exchange, an affiliated venue, or elsewhere, and may model slippage, partial fills and rejected orders.
  • ›Good faith. Vest will not selectively worsen fills merely because a trader is profitable, or fabricate an error to avoid a payout. Different treatment by market, size, strategy or account type is allowed.
  • ›Disputes. 90 days of informal negotiation, then arbitration at the Panama Conciliation and Arbitration Centre, with class actions and jury trials waived.
  • ›Liability. Capped at the fees paid or 100 Panamanian balboa, a dollar-pegged currency, whichever is greater.

Where Vest's own documents disagree

Eight conflicts were still open on 20 October 2026, and two noted by earlier reviews are now settled. In the cards, the app FAQ means the FAQ inside Vest's web app.

Funded capital

Still contradicts

One Vest source says

Docs overview: "Real Vest capital", "Not simulated". The app FAQ says Instant accounts trade real capital.

Another Vest source says

Prop Terms, 14 Oct 2026: "All Accounts, including Instant Funded Accounts, are simulated."

Funded trades

Still contradicts

One Vest source says

Press release, 7 Oct 2026: "Every funded trade is placed in the real market".

Another Vest source says

Prop Terms: Vest may disregard a Trade Idea or act against it.

Funded leverage

Still contradicts

One Vest source says

Docs overview, markets and leverage pages: up to 75x.

Another Vest source says

App FAQ: up to 50x. Docs home: "up to 100x leverage", for the exchange and funded program together.

Another Vest source says

Text under the same table: 15x.

Withdrawal speed

Still contradicts

One Vest source says

Withdrawals page note: 24-hour processing on all withdrawals.

Another Vest source says

App FAQ: instant up to a rolling $50,000 in 24 hours. The page's limits section ties the 24-hour period to that total.

Another Vest source says

The price catalogue sells 39 evaluation builds.

Breach at the floor

Still contradicts

One Vest source says

Loss limits page: reaching the floor exactly is not a breach.

Another Vest source says

App FAQ: the account closes when its value touches the floor.

Refund window

Another Vest source says

Prop Terms since 6 Oct 2026: 10 Instant and 100 evaluation accounts, replacing one account per user.

The Terms say traders rely only on the Terms and the documents they refer to, not on marketing pages, social posts or Discord.

Vest Markets incident history

Vest's docs list three incident reports, all on trade.vestmarkets.com, the earlier platform since merged into next.vestmarkets.com.

Vest incident reports
  1. 15 Apr 2026 · Incident

Wrong prices after a market-making update

About 10% of active accounts saw wrong prices and about 90 orders were wrongly liquidated. Vest halted trading 3 minutes after the 15:03 UTC fault, rolled back to 14:30 UTC and promised full compensation.

  2. 8 Jun 2026 · Incident

Abnormal price moves on ES and other markets

Large orders in the Sunday overnight session caused some liquidations. Vest patched the fault and compensated the liquidation costs.

  3. 30 Jun 2026 · Incident

Pricing fault on EWY, a South Korea stock ETF

Wrong fills and wrong profit and loss on about 20 accounts at the 9:30 AM ET open. Vest patched the fault and adjusted profit and loss.

The reports do not say whether Vest Capital accounts were affected. The current Prop Terms exclude liability, as far as the law allows, for pricing errors and resulting liquidations, and let Vest correct the affected trades.

Vest Prop Terms change log

PropFirmTrading has found four 2026 versions of Vest's Prop Terms, and the latest cut the refund window from 28 days back to 3.

A weekly change watcher adds each new version.

Prop Terms versions
  1. 10 May 2026 · Terms

    A proprietary trading program

Archive copy of 3 Oct. China, Hong Kong and Macao prohibited, one account per user, refund within 3 days if unused.

  2. 28 Sep 2026 · Terms

Now a simulated proprietary trading program

Archive copy of 6 Oct. Compared with 10 May, Instant becomes a virtual designation, China, Hong Kong and Macao are dropped and the refund window grows to 28 days. Still one account per user.

  3. 6 Oct 2026 · Terms

    All accounts disclosed as simulated

PropFirmTrading copy. Adds 10 Instant and 100 evaluation accounts per profile, simulated slippage and fills, compensation from general corporate funds and a minimum age of 18.

  4. 14 Oct 2026 · Terms

Refund window back to 3 days

Live page. Adds the Philippines to the prohibited list and a clause that Vest is not responsible for third-party bots and trade copiers.

The 14 October version went online on 19 October 2026. PropFirmTrading's copy from earlier that day still showed the 28-day window, and Vest's docs sitemap dates the change to that afternoon.

Between 11 and 20 October the docs also raised the funded leverage headline from 50x to 75x, BTC to 25x and SOL to 10x, and added the 24-hour withdrawal note.

A trailing drawdown moves up as the account makes profit, unlike a static one. A consistency rule limits how much of the total profit can come from a single day.

Who the Vest Capital program suits

Vest Capital pairs low entry prices and a static drawdown with simulated-account terms, USDC payouts and a $25,000 maximum account.

Vest Capital strengths and drawbacks

Strengths

  • Entry from $10 on Instant and $15 on the 2-Step.
  • A static drawdown that never trails the balance.
  • No consistency rule, minimum days or time limit.
  • Profit claims at any time, credited in 24 hours.

Drawbacks

  • Every account is simulated, and payouts are not guaranteed.
  • A loss rule breach closes the account for good.
  • The largest single account is $25,000.
  • Non-crypto positions cannot be closed during weekend locks.

Open questions

  • Whether Vest will align its docs and app FAQ with the Prop Terms.
  • How many of Vest's 27,000 traders bought a Vest Capital account.

Before buying, traders should weigh the 6% static floor, or 2% to 4% on Instant, against the strategy's usual losing run.

Affiliate disclosure

PropFirmTrading's partner code for Vest Capital is PROPFT, and PropFirmTrading earns a commission when traders use the code or its link to Vest Markets. Current prices for every preset with the code applied are on the Vest Markets discount page.

Vest Markets FAQ

Is Vest Markets legit?

Vest Markets is an operating, investor-backed business. It publishes Prop Terms and incident reports, and Fortune reported a $13 million seed round on 7 October 2026. PropFirmTrading also confirmed on chain 61,723 USDC in withdrawals from Vest's Base bridge between 2 and 4 October 2026, which a Vest affiliate presented as payouts.

Vest's Prop Terms dated 14 October 2026 also say every funded account is simulated and that payouts are not guaranteed, and several Vest pages contradict each other. The rules behind each account are on the Vest Markets rules page.

What is Vest Markets and how does it work?

Vest Markets is a trading platform for perpetual futures, contracts that follow the price of stocks, indices, crypto, metals, energy and FX without an expiry date. Its prop program, Vest Capital, sells accounts for a one-time fee, and traders keep 80% to 95% of the profit they claim.

On the evaluation path a trader has to reach a 10% or 20% goal, or 10% and then 5% on the 2-Step, without breaking the loss rules. Passing opens a live funded account, while Instant accounts skip the evaluation and are live from purchase.

Are Vest Markets and Vest Capital the same company as Vest Exchange?

They belong to the same business. Vest Markets is the trading platform, Vest Capital is its prop program, and Vest Exchange Inc., a Panama corporation, is the company that signs the Prop Terms with traders. The Terms also use the name Vest Exchange for an affiliated trading venue where Vest may place hedges.

The website footer names Vest Labs Inc., and Fortune describes the business as a New York startup. The Block reported in January 2023 that Vest Exchange, then a planned exchange on the Arbitrum network, had raised a seed round from Jane Street and others.

Is Vest Markets the same as Vestmarket Trade?

No, they are different businesses. The Malta Financial Services Authority warned on 2 December 2024 that Vestmarket Trade, with a website at vestmarketrd.com, was not licensed in Malta. IOSCO, the global body of securities regulators, listed that warning on 9 December 2024 under the name Vestmarket Trade only.

Vest Markets uses vestmarkets.com, and its prop program is run by Vest Exchange Inc. in Panama. None of Vest's documents mention Vestmarket Trade. Traders who search for reviews or warnings should check the domain before relying on what they read.

Are Vest Markets funded accounts real or simulated?

Under Vest's Prop Terms dated 14 October 2026, they are simulated. The Terms say all accounts, Instant accounts included, are simulated and that no real trading capital is credited to the trader. Each trade is a Trade Idea that Vest may use, hedge, ignore or act against.

Vest's docs and in-app FAQ still describe live accounts as real capital. The Terms say traders rely only on the Terms and the documents they refer to, not on marketing pages. Payouts are Program compensation paid from Vest's general corporate funds, not a share of a live trade.

How do Vest Markets payouts work, and how fast are they?

A trader submits Claim Profit on a live funded account at any time, with no cap on amount or frequency. Vest credits the trader's share, 80%, 90% or 95% depending on the account, as USDC to the trader's Primary Account in 24 hours.

The trader then withdraws USDC to a crypto wallet on Base or Arbitrum One, from 1 USDC. On 20 October 2026 Vest's withdrawals page said a 24-hour processing period applies to all withdrawals. The in-app FAQ still described instant withdrawals up to $50,000 in a rolling 24 hours.

What are the Vest Markets funded account rules?

Every account has a static maximum drawdown, a fixed loss floor that never moves. It is 6% with an evaluation and equal to the price paid on Instant. Most 1-Step builds also have a 3% or 4% daily loss limit, and every 2-Step account has a 3% limit. The limit resets at 8 PM New York time, and breaking either rule closes the account for good.

There is no consistency rule, no minimum number of trading days and no time limit, and news trading and scalping are allowed. The full list is on the Vest Markets rules page.

What is a Vest Markets Instant account?

An Instant account is a Vest Capital account with no evaluation. It goes live as soon as payment clears, has no profit goal and no daily loss limit, and pays a 95% split. The only loss rule is a static maximum drawdown equal to the price.

At list price the sizes are $500 for $10, $5,000 for $200, $10,000 for $400 and $25,000 for $1,000, so a $5,000 account closes if it loses $200. Instant accounts count toward Vest's limit of 10 live funded accounts per user.

Which countries are restricted at Vest Markets?

Vest's Prop Terms dated 14 October 2026 list six prohibited jurisdictions, which are Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Russia, Syria and the Philippines. The Philippines was added in that version. The Government of Venezuela and people on US, EU, UK or UN sanctions lists are also excluded.

The version dated 10 May 2026 also listed China, Hong Kong and Macao, which were gone by the version dated 28 September 2026. Using a VPN to get around the restrictions is banned, and Vest may ask for identity and residence checks before a payout.

Does Vest Markets have a Trustpilot rating?

Yes, but it rests on four reviews. On 20 October 2026 the Trustpilot profile for vestmarkets.com showed a TrustScore of 3.3 from 4 reviews posted between 9 and 19 October 2026. Two have 5 stars and two have 1 star.

The positive reviews mention simple rules and payouts, and the negative ones describe fills and frozen charts. Vest had not replied to them. A Trustpilot page for vest.capital belongs to a different company, and PropFirmTrading gives Vest no rating of its own until more reviews exist.

Who backs Vest Markets?

Vest's docs say the Vest Labs team is backed by Coinbase, Jane Street, Selini, Amber, QCP, BBH and IVC, and by executives from Citadel, BlackRock and HRT. Fortune reported on 7 October 2026 a $13 million seed round led by Portal Ventures that closed in July.

Vest's press release puts total funding at $18 million and names Coinbase Ventures, Amber Group, Selini Capital, Auros and Flowdesk among the investors. Investor backing shows who has invested in the company, and it does not guarantee payouts on a prop account.

Can traders use the Vest Markets API on a funded account?

No. Vest's docs say API trading is not available on any funded account, whether in the Evaluation Phase, on a live account or on an Instant account. Orders have to be placed in Vest's own trading platform, which offers market, limit and scale orders with take profit and stop loss.

Vest lists its public API documentation as coming soon. The Prop Terms dated 14 October 2026 also say Vest is not responsible for third-party bots, trade copiers or other tools. The trader stays responsible for every trade such a tool places.
